The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Portland, OR - May 9-15

The Portland Skyline and Mt. HoodThe Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), the world's largest pre-college celebration of science, will be held in Portland, OR this year from May 9-15. The Intel ISEF brings together over 1,200 students from 40 nations to compete for scholarships, tuition grants, internships, scientific field trips and the grand prize: $50,000 college scholarship and a high-performance computer.

The Intel ISEF will open it's doors to the public on Thursday and Friday, May 13 and 14. Admission is free, and includes the finalists' projects, as well as university and industry showcase exhibits. There will also be technology-based tours of the Portland area including trips to active volcano Mt. St. Helen's, the Oregon Coast Aquarium, and the OSHU Molecular Biology Lab.

If you are not a student, register to be a judge or volunteer for the event. Judges from colleges and universities, government agencies, and the private sector are needed to evaluate exhibits and interact with students. Other volunteers from all backgrounds are also needed and welcome to help staff the event. Be part of this exciting event...sign up now!
