Validation Engineer

Xcyte Therapies, Inc., a Seattle-based biotechnology company, is developing and commercializing novel cell-based or cellular therapeutic products that harness the power of the immune system to treat cancer and many infectious diseases.

Responsibilities include:

Validation of equipment, utility systems, automation systems, processes and facilities, preparing protocols, analyzing test results, and preparing summaries. Use of Kaye Recorders and Validator Software for Temperature Mapping Studies and Excel Spreadsheet Generation and Summary Report Writing for PQ studies. The Validation Engineer will generate, review and modify Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and support compliance with change control and revalidation programs.

Qualified candidates will have a BS degree in a technical discipline or related science, and 3-5 years experience in validation in a cGMP environment. Familiarity with pharmaceutical compendial and international standards and regulations (e.g., USP, ISPE, GAMP, ISO), and knowledge of biopharmaceutical equipment and control systems required. Thorough knowledge of validation principles, manufacturing processes, quality systems and regulatory agency expectations. Must have excellent communication skills.
