Facilities Project Manager

Dendreon Corporation is a publicly held biotechnology company developing therapeutic vaccines, monoclonal antibodies and small molecule candidates for the treatment of cancer and other diseases.

We are seeking a Facilities Project Manager to develop and implement facilities maintenance and calibration systems. You’ll be responsible for gathering requirements, evaluating system choice, developing a business case and ultimately implementing and maintaining the system.

Description:

  • Analyze, select, implement and maintain a computer maintenance management system (CMMS) for the equipment maintenance and calibration functions of GMP systems.
  • Gather requirements and develop policies and procedures.
  • Act as system advisor to departments ensuring work processes are implemented and documented in a compliant manner.
  • Interact with other Facilities and Quality team members, outside customers, and functional peer groups at various management levels.
  • Interact and negotiate with contractors and vendors.
  • Gain cooperation of others by conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years related work experience.
  • Must have experience in maintenance trades/engineering and knowledge of building codes.
  • Experience as a project manager, participating in the construction of building and/or manufacturing facilities in a GMP or GLP environment.
  • Experience working with GMP processes and procedures. Writing of SOPs is a must.
  • Experience implementing full cycle of multi-site work order systems (CMM –computerized maintenance management systems) and calibration systems such as Blue Mountain).
  • Must be able to work in multi-group project environment.
  • Must perform well in planning, implementing & executing programs and projects.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
  • Have ability to evaluate risk and uncertainty.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • The job is performed in a lab, office, or utility (noisy) environment.
  • Must have the ability to work around utility systems and equipment and regularly lift 10 – 20 lb and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
