Technical Associate II (Virus Production)

DEPARTMENT: Biologicals Manufacturing/Redmond

JOB RESPONSBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS: Participate as a member of the Biological Production team, under the direction of a Supervisor/Production manager, producing large commercial scale quantities of uninfected and HIV infected cultures and their subsequent purification of HIV virus in a BSL-3 containment facility. Participate in production of other virus cultures to support virus/recombinant and infectious disease product line. Responsible for efficient/on-time production while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS: A combination of experience and knowledge that produces the required skills and ability to perform the minimum requirements of this position. Typically, this would be science coursework and related experience. Laboratory, Clinical Diagnostics, R & D, quality related or commercial manufacturing experience desired. Demonstrate the ability to follow routine written or oral instructions. Manual dexterity and attention to detail orientation required.
