Research Scientist, Biology of Wound Healing

AcryMed, Inc. is a Portland Oregon based life sciences company that specializes in the development and manufacturing of tissue repair products. In its 11 year history it has developed and now manufactures for international sales, several lines of wound care product lines that have received industry recognition for innovation. The company is seeking an PhD scientist to participate in the development of new products that will accelerate the healing of difficult to heal wounds.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced investigator to manage the biological investigations of our wound healing initiative. A candidate should be motivated to succeed, experienced in the management of projects and personnel, and able to communicate outcomes to management and the scientific community. The successful candidate will need to bring organizational, team interaction and personnel management skills to the position. The person will be required to independently manage projects but will also be required to establish and maintain interaction with in-house and consulting scientific personnel.

Requirements

This position is for a Ph.D. research scientist with 3-5 years of experience of independent investigation. Experience with in vitro procedures, tissue culture, microbiology and animal studies will be considered strengths. Team skills are essential.
