Quality Control Associate I/II (Temporary Full Time)

Xcyte Therapies, Inc., a Seattle-based biotechnology company, is developing and commercializing novel cell-based or cellular therapeutic products that harness the power of the immune system to treat cancer and many infectious diseases.

This individual will support the daily operations of the laboratory by performing analytical and microbiological testing associated with raw materials, in-process, and final release of product. Standard methods include flow cytometry, cell count, Trypan blue viability, cell culture assays, residuals testing by ELISA and Luminex. This is a temporary with possible conversion to a permanent position.

BS degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent with 2 plus years experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry. Fundamental knowledge of flow cytometry, antibody production/protein chemistry and/or cell processing is desired. Applicants with practical working knowledge of FDA cGMPs, GLP, Quality Systems, EC, ICH, and ISO standards and regulations will be given first consideration. The successful candidate will also possess excellent analytical skills, strong verbal and written communication skills along with professionalism, flexibility, ability to manage multiple duties and tasks, enthusiasm, and initiative.
