Quality Assurance Associate

Seattle Genetics, Inc. is a new and growing biotechnology company based in Bothell, Washington.The Company is in clinical and preclinical development with several targeted agents for the treatment of carcinomas, melanomas, and hematologic malignancies. Seattle Genetics also has an active drug discovery effort.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position will be part of the Quality Assurance team responsible for the management of GMP, GCP, and GLP quality systems and for the ultimate disposition and quality of Seattle Genetics clinical products.

DETAILED DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary responsibilities will be to support established quality systems such as batch record review and disposition, investigation and deviation review, change control and corrective action management for Seattle Genetics QA. Individual responsibilities may include the evaluation of discrepancies noted during batch record reviews, coordinating change controls, assisting in investigations with the contract manufacturing sites and helping to develop and implement additional quality systems. Some travel may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate will have a BS in a relevant field with related quality assurance or manufacturing experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry. Basic statistical mathematical skills, a basic knowledge of bio-pharmaceutical process, facilities and equipment, and the ability to interpret and apply GMP knowledge is also necessary. Candidates should be able to evaluate documentation and operations according to company procedures and understand intermediate word processing, presentation and spreadsheet application skills. This position also requires excellent attention to detail, self-motivation and strong oral and written communication skills.
