Scientist, Clinical Assay Development

Epigenomics is an international molecular diagnostics company committed to significantly improving early detection and treatment of cancer and other complex diseases. Our novel diagnostic products, based on DNA methylation, are aimed at making early detection and treatment easier, more accurate, and more convenient for the patient. We are seeking scientists with background in molecular biology, bioinformatics and cell biology, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit to join us in creation of a completely new field of biology – Epigenetics.

The successful candidate will develop DNA methylation-based assays for clinical diagnostic applications in our Screening Diagnostics group in Seattle.

You hold a PhD or Masters in molecular biology or a related field. You have excellent knowledge and proven working experience in a variety of molecular biological techniques. Experience in molecular diagnostics and sensitive detection analysis, particularly real-time PCR analysis of nucleic acids is required. Solid skills in DNA analytics are essential and experience with different nucleic acid purification and amplification formats is ideal. Experience with nucleic acid based clinical assays and quality control for clinical testing a must. Your interest and expertise in oncology/project management is a plus.

You are an independent, creative scientist, who is able to plan and conduct research activities efficiently. You are a team player with marked communication skills and able to work in an international environment (working language English). You should have experience in supervising lab personnel and project management skills.
