We are seeking a Director, Information Technology to establish, plan, and administer the overall policies and goals for the information technology department. Responsible for the overall policies and processes in validation or qualification of Computerized Systems, operating in a GLP environment. This position will report to the President.

Main Responsibilities Include:

  1. Analyzes the needs of departments and establishes priorities for feasibility studies, systems design and implementation to develop new and/or modify the company’s information processing systems.
  2. Consults with management to analyze computer system needs for management information and functional operations, to determine scope and priorities of projects, and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions.
  3. Recommends and develops plans for systems development and operations, hardware and software purchases, budget, and staffing.
  4. Manages the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems for the organization.
  5. Manages overall process of computer system validation protocols for software systems that are governed by federal regulations, including 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211 with emphasis on 21 CFR Part 11 as applicable in the pharmaceutical industry.
  6. Develops, implements, and monitors management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree, in related field, and 8+ years IT experience with 4+ years in senior manager role in a biotech, pharmaceutical or contract research organization environment. Must be familiar with FDA regulated environments.
