Research Associate, Pre-clinical (Oncology)

Responsibilities:

This position will be part of a focused effort to evaluate lead compound candidates for their in vivo effects and efficacy in the field of oncology.

  • Work closely with other scientists in the Preclinical Studies department in the design, planning and execution of in vivo studies related primarily to oncology research.
  • This position will play an active role in the implementation and validation of novel in vivo models when the need arises.
  • Also responsible for processing, interpreting and presenting of results to project teams.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in a research or industrial setting.
  • BS in pharmacology/zoology/immunology.
  • Knowledge of and hands on experience with different in vivo models (xenografts, orthotopic models) used in drug development required; experience with oncology models a plus.
  • As a member working on highly interactive and dynamic project teams, strong communication (oral and written) and organizational skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently in a high paced working environment.
  • Some flexibility with respect to performing duties after regular working hours or on weekends/holidays required.
