Quality Engineer II

LOCATION: Redmond, WA

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS: Designs, executes, and documents/reviews investigations, risk assessments, qualification studies, and performs related technical analyses in support of products manufactured/distributed by Redmond Operations. Many activities are performed to ensure adequate investigations and implementation of appropriate corrective and preventive actions in response to identified quality issues. Successful candidates will actively seek interaction with others, under potentially challenging time pressures, in order to resolve difficult technical issues.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Sciences/Technical field. Minimum of 3 years experience in a cGMP manufacturing/QA environment, during which a significant portion of experience included performing engineering activities such as failure investigations, risk analyses, validation study design/execution, and/or related quality planning for commercially distributed medical products. In vitro diagnostics or biological product experience highly desirable. Excellent analytical and written communication skills, including the ability to persuade others with fact-based arguments. Good organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with follow-through and ability to meet defined deadlines. Good interpersonal skills are necessary to operate in a team environment to interact with multiple departments under a variety of conditions. Computer skills: Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word required. Proficiency in use of statistical software for data analysis desired.
