Data Analyst

Pacific Biometrics, Inc (PBI) is a clinical laboratory specializing in testing for pharmaceutical clinical trials and diagnostic research & development. PBI serves both as a central lab, providing investigator sites supplies, lab instructions and reports, etc or as a referral lab to other central labs. PBI is dedicated to providing our sponsors with data of the highest quality. As a member of our Data Management group, the Data Analyst’s role is to help facilitate the data management plan for assigned studies and to ensure timely, accurate delivery of laboratory results. The selected candidate will be a motivated problem-solver with good organization, communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Processing electronic manifests for incoming referral samples from other central laboratories.
  • Transmit results per data management plan/schedule for each study (includes file creation, review, transmission and associated documentation).
  • Facilitate study closeout by communicating sponsor data deadlines to appropriate project management and operations staff.

Education:

College degree in a scientific/technical field such as computer or information science, mathematics/statistics.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (especially Excel) required.
  • Experience with Excel graphs, functions and VB Macros required.
  • Experience with relational database concepts including queries preferred.
  • Some programming experience helpful.
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems or other scientific applications a plus.
  • Must possess good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented and well organized and be committed to maintaining rigorous documentation standards.
