We currently have an opportunity for a Director, Brand Marketing (Acute Care). The Director, Brand Marketing (Acute Care) will have full marketing responsibility for leading the Acute Care market segment.

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Maximizing revenue, profitability, customer acceptance, market penetration and market share for a portfolio of products and services in the Acute Care channel. Manage and drive the product/market managers to develop and implement classic marketing programs, strategies and tactics for their products.
  • Setting a strategic platform for the products, recognizing the drive toward short-term revenue growth while balancing long-term growth objectives for the portfolio. Aligning strategies and tactics to deliver against short- and long-term objectives, recognizing the need to defend and extend the core business.
  • Focusing on “outbound marketing" activities in the near term to position existing and planned product launches in the market effectively.
  • Recruiting, developing and retaining marketing talent within the product marketing group. Ensuring that classic marketing principles are being used within the group and influencing the understanding and use of those principles across all areas of Acute Care.
  • Serve as an advisor and market strategist to the Vice President of Marketing.
  • Strategic member of the cross-functional brand team working with Product Managers, Acute Care sales organization, cross-functional team members as well as senior management.
  • Continually review the U.S. and International Acute Care market, identifying opportunities and utilizing promotional resources to effectively achieve marketing goals with a positive ROI.
  • Developing and managing tactics to attain strategic objectives and overseeing the development and implementation of brand initiatives.
  • Overseeing product introductions and releases to ensure a highly organized process in the field to maximize efficiencies.
  • Managing activities of agencies and vendors including Scope of Work, staffing and agency performance.
  • Overseeing preparation and implementation of short- and long-term Plans and Budgets based on based on Corporate Goals and Growth Objectives.
  • Evaluating the overall Acute Care marketing performance of direct reports and review results with VP, Marketing on regular basis.

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or clinical field with minimum of 8 years experience in medical device marketing/product management with at least 5 years supervisory/leadership experience. MBA, Masters strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated competence and experience in all aspects of classic marketing principles to include strategy development and execution, full product life cycle management, and managing strategic partnerships.
  • Knowledge of tools to gain market insight.
  • Must possess successful track record in product marketing, ideally in or related to the Med Device, B2B or the Pharma industry.
  • Working knowledge of FDA approval process.
  • Excellent and demonstrable written communication skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and subsidiaries.
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Leader of high performance teams and a strong team player.
  • Commitment to company values and ethics.
  • Travel requirement: 20-40 percent.
