Research Associate, Analytical Biochemistry & Formulations

Seattle Genetics seeks a Research Associate to join our Analytical Biochemistry & Formulations team focused on assay development and protein characterization of our antibodies and antibody drug conjugates (ADCs). This position involves developing, optimizing and performing analytical methods in support of preclinical, clinical and process development analytical requirements. Specific duties under guidance of a Ph.D. scientist include: Development and qualification of chromatographic assays (RP-HPLC, IEX, SEC), Immunoassays (impurity ELISAs, Western-blot) and electrophoretic assays (SDS-PAGE, IEF, CE) for process development and QC release of our antibodies and ADCs. This position will also be involved in the characterization of our drug products. Assay development efforts will be summarized in technical reports and assay procedures will be transferred to our QC department.

Requirements:

Ideal candidates will have a BS or Masters degree in biochemistry, chemistry or biology with a minimum of 2 years experience in biotechnology or the pharmaceutical industry. A demonstrated expertise in analytical methods development, especially HPLC and electrophoretic methods, along with strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
