Clinical Research Coordinator

The Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason (BRI) is a center of scientific excellence in research and therapy of autoimmune diseases, such as diabetes and arthritis, and promotes interdisciplinary research in cancer and heart disease through innovative programs in molecular genetics and matrix biology. Experienced Clinical Research Coordinator needed to work on new TrialNet studies of various Type 1 diabetes research primarily with TrialNet network related activities. Duties include participant interaction, ensuring that proper consenting has been completed, IRB submissions and ensuring compliance with study protocol. Other duties include shipping specimens, applicant and data tracking and accurate record keeping. Candidate will also interact with TrialNet Coordinating Center, TrialNet Chairman’s Office and the other TrialNet clinical sites. Additionally, candidate will oversee the TrialNet Clinical Research Assistant. Requires a through understanding of clinical research protocols, IRB requirements and multi-centered clinical trials. Outstanding communication, organization al and interpersonal skills are essential. Strong computer skills are preferred.
