Seattle Genetics, Inc. is a new and growing biotechnology company based in Bothell, Washington. The Company is in clinical and preclinical development with several targeted agents for the treatment of carcinomas, melanomas, and hematologic malignancies. Seattle Genetics also has an active drug discovery effort.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Seattle Genetics is seeking a Ph.D. level Scientist to study the pharmacokinetic behavior of novel antibody and antibody drug conjugates. This person will be responsible for managing the design execution, interpretation and reporting of preclinical and clinical PK studies and support of toxicology studies. This individual will also characterize the clearance mechanisms, metabolism, and elimination of the drug candidates in various preclinical models as well as assess pharmacological endpoints of activity (pharmacodynamics). This position will help Seattle Genetics in molecule selection, PK-PD modeling, safety assessment, and regulatory filings.

REQUIREMENTS:

A Ph.D. in a Biological or Pharmaceutical Science with at least 2 years of industry and-or related post-doctoral experience. Candidate should have a strong pharmacology background with extensive knowledge of pharmacokinetic concepts and familiarity with PK analysis software (e.g., WinNonlin). Experience with monoclonal antibody or cytotoxic compounds PK is a plus. Experience in the preparation of regulatory applications (IND, NDA, BLA) and good knowledge of GLP or GCP and regulatory guidelines is highly desirable. The candidate must also have excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
