National & International Resources

Association for University Technology Managers (AUTM) -- AUTM is a non-profit association with membership of more than 2,300 technology managers and business executives who manage intellectual property. AUTM's members represent over 300 universities, research institutions, teaching hospitals and a similar number of companies and government organizations.

European Patent Office (EPO) -- The EPO's task is to grant European patents using a unitary and centralized procedure. By filing a single patent application in one of the three official languages (English, French or German) it is possible to obtain patent protection in all 18 member states of the European Patent Organization.

Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer -- For industry and other public and private sector technology seekers, the FLC serves as a point of entry to federal laboratory expertise and technology.

Licensing Executives Society -- The Licensing Executives Society is an international non-profit professional society whose members are actively involved in business activities concerned with the transfer of technology and industrial or intellectual property rights.

National Technology Transfer Center -- The National Technology Transfer Center specializes in presenting effective ways to help U.S. corporations and citizens access and use U.S. federally-financed technologies. Access technical assistance, technology databases and related resources.

Strategis: Technology, Innovation and Licensing -- A comprehensive resource of the Canadian Minister of Industry including: Technology Transfer Opportunities and Expertise, Canadian Patent Database, College and University Resources, Government Research Facilities, Industrial R&D Resources, Assistance programs for Science and Technology Research, an Opportunity Matching Service and more.

T2M Technology to Market -- T2M is a non-profit business accelerator for high-tech companies. T2M is an alliance of leading public and private organizations, including universities, financial institutions and professional service providers. T2M's mission is to accelerate the growth of businesses by pooling multi-disciplinary resources.

Technology Transfer Society -- The Technology Transfer Society, established in 1975 is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to sharing methods, opportunities and schools of thought with the technology transfer community.

U.S. Copyright Office -- Obtain general information and publications related to U.S. copyright law, registration information, application forms and related national and international resources.

U.S. Patent and Trademark Office -- Search both the U.S. Patent Bibliographic Database, which includes bibliographic data from 1976 to 3/25/97, and the AIDS Patent Database, which includes the full text and images of AIDS related patents issued by the U.S., European and Japanese Patent offices; also obtain patent and trademark forms, order copies of patents & trademarks, and obtain other information.

World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) -- The WIPO is an intergovernmental organization headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. One of the 16 specialized agencies of the UN, WIPO is responsible for promoting the protection of intellectual property throughout the world and for administering various multilateral treaties dealing with the legal and administrative aspects of intellectual property./p>
