Environmental Monitoring Analyst

ID Biomedical is a biopharmaceutical company that develops novel vaccines and therapeutic products using our proprietary Proteosome™ adjuvant/delivery technology. We currently have mucosal subunit vaccines in clinical trials for the prevention of influenza and group A Strep infections, and several other vaccines in preclinical development.

Location: Bothell

Position Summary

The QC analyst will perform Environmental Monitoring to support manufacturing in Class 100,000 to Class 1000 suites and with gowning experience needed to at least Class 10,000. Candidate must be proficient in aseptic techniques, EM trending for micro and mycology and the Microsoft office software suite. Candidate should also be familiar with cleaning and sanitization protocols and validation for manufacturing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Routine monitoring and testing to support the GMP clean room.
  • Provide technical support for standard microbiological/analytical assays and microbiological identification (such as endotoxin, bioburden, TOC, pH, conductivity).
  • Provide support and development of environmental microbiology and mycology for clean rooms and facility.
  • Develop and implement SOP’s for EM programs and concurrent SOP’s.
  • Interpret data and discern trends.
  • Provide timely notifications of alert and action limit excursions and summary reports to department heads.
  • Provide training on clean room processes and gowning qualifications.
  • Assist facilities and manufacturing for EM GMP compliance.

Requirements:

BS degree in Biology or related field with 2-3 years GMP and environmental monitoring experience or equivalent. Clean room experience required. The successful candidate should be willing to work flexible hours and to contribute as a member of a Quality Control team.
