GHK (GHK-CU)

The human copper-binding peptide GHK-Cu (glycyl-l-histidyl-l-lysine) is a small, naturally occurring tri-peptide present in human plasma that also can be released from tissues in case of an injury. Since its discovery in 1973, GHK-Cu established itself as a powerful protective and regenerative ingredient, which is currently widely used in skin and hair products.

Description

Introduction

GHK-Cu has a relatively short life in the body of around one hour. This is nonetheless enough time for it to act, since its small size means it can rapidly circulate in the extra-cellular space and reach cell receptors easily.

However, standard administration in the form of capsules may have a limited effect in the body because GHK is highly sensitive to the action of carboxypeptidase (20), an enzyme found in the gut. It’s thought that the majority of GHK molecules are unable to cross the gut barrier intact (21-22) which is why scientists mainly use injections, or liposomal or sublingual tablets.

In terms of therapeutic potential, GHK offers a major advantage over other ‘contenders’: its effects on gene modulation correspond to findings from in vivo tests, ie, real situations.

How it works?

The human peptide GHK (glycyl-l-histidyl-l-lysine) has multiple biological actions, all of which, according to our current knowledge, appear to be health positive. It stimulates blood vessel and nerve outgrowth, increases collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycan synthesis, as well as supports the function of dermal fibroblasts. GHK’s ability to improve tissue repair has been demonstrated for skin, lung connective tissue, boney tissue, liver, and stomach lining.

GHK has also been found to possess powerful cell-protective actions, such as multiple anti-cancer activities and anti-inflammatory actions, lung protection and restoration of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) fibroblasts, suppression of molecules thought to accelerate the diseases of ageing such as NFκB, anti-anxiety, anti-pain and anti-aggression activities, DNA repair, and activation of cell cleansing via the proteasome system.

Recent genetic data may explain such diverse protective and healing actions of one molecule, revealing multiple biochemical pathways regulated by GHK.

Side Effects

GHK Cu has an enormous amount of benefits and is extremely safe to use with no known negative side effect
More information
Up-to-date, it is established that GHK-Cu is able to:
● Tighten loose skin and reverse thinning of aged skin
● Repair protective skin barrier proteins
● Improve skin firmness, elasticity, and clarity
● Reduce fine lines, depth of wrinkles, and improve structure of aged skin
● Smooth rough skin
● Reduce photodamage, mottled hyperpigmentation, skin spots and lesions
● Improve overall skin appearance
● Stimulate wound healing
● Protect skin cells from UV radiation
● Reduce inflammation and free radical damage
● Increase hair growth and thickness, enlarge hair follicle size

Dosages

The total peptide dosage is about 2.2 μg/kg or, if scaled for the human body, about 140 μg per injection with 10 treatments per day.

The use of portable continuous infusion pumps for treatment might maintain an effective level in the plasma and extracellular fluid with the need for much less GHK. Possibly the peptide could be administered with a transdermal patch [66]. Another approach could be to use peptide-loaded liposomes as an oral delivery system for uptake into the intestinal wall without significant breakdown

Smooth application and great absorption, a little goes a long way with this product.

I use this GHK Cu cream in conjunction with derma rolling and it has shown huge improvement and in my ageing and acne-scarred skin. The improvements are 70% and I’ve had so many comments on my skin.

I forgot makeup on the daytime now, something I wouldn’t have dreamed of before using this product.

I have found the perfect skin care and I don’t think I’ll be able to live without it now. I add this copper peptide solution to my rosewater and use it as a toner and man, it leaves my skin so beautiful. It works immediately to leave your skin feeling super moisturized, but not heavy like a lotion or oil. Its very light and natural feeling. It leaves my skin feeling and looking supple, like it’s filling in all the lines with natural moisture. It leaves the slightest tackiness on your skin but NOT RESIDUE. It’s just enough tackiness to make your skin feel and look supple without leaving anything sitting on top of your skin. The product kind of becomes one with the skin so you can rub and rub and you will feel no build up sitting on top of your skin. Your skin just soaks it up. I don’t know how much I’m supposed to use, but I put about half the bottle into a 4oz. bottle of Teddy’s organic rosewater that I also buy here on amazon. It’s really good rosewater too. Much better than some others I’ve tried. Much richer and not watered down with a strong natural rose scent. I am amazed and so happy I found this copper peptide solution. I use the mixture on my chest and neck too so it is going way too fast so I wish it was a little cheaper. However, with that being said, for what it does, the price is actually really good. Don’t hesitate with this product. All women are looking for something that actually works and this does. Another reviewer said that it’s fake. All I know is the proof is in the pudding and it’s working for me. I am so glad I didn’t listen to that reviewer and I bought it anyway. There are only a few things I use now in my skincare regimen, witch hazel with Aloe as a cleansing astringent, Retain A, neocutis with PSP (aka growth factors) and now this rosewater and copper peptide mixture. I won’t be without any of these things. I have used many many many over the counter products and all the newest crazes that come out including the latest bee’s venom. But it’s only these 4 things that I mentioned above that truly truly work down to the cell structure of your skin. And the only way to get younger looking skin is to work on the growth of your new skin, not to fix your old skin and that’s what copper peptides, retain a and growth factors do. Then the witch hazel and rosewater help to add natural moisture to help plump up those skin cells and fill in fine lines. Also, I use collagen powders. All of these things have actually taken about 10 years off my, what used to be old and dull looking skin, in about 6 months. I highly suggest all of these things, but if you can only do one, this copper is a great way to start a skin care regimen like mine.
